Well ladies and gentlemen, here we are. I’ve gone and married my Cowboy, (His Grace, for new readers) and I reckon that makes me Miz Grace?

Tom and Frances and Wedding Night Fireworks
Fireworks over the fishin' hole at Rancho La Zaca, and us, boom. HG likes to say "boom" at the end of his sentences and sometimes at the end of his parties. Photo by my beautiful niece Ruth Fuqua.

It definitely makes me happy.

Apart from losing the marriage license the day before the wedding and driving a million hours to the nearest clerk’s office in Santa Maria which was about to close because they were going to lunch and we still didn’t have another piece of paper we needed from the courthouse which is a long story I’ve already forgotten and I’m s’poze to have my hair done and then His Grump oh I mean my sweet adorable handsome groom remembers where the license is and then we drive back to the ranch taking a shortcut which turns into a wrong turn and not all that short if you get where I’m coming from but I don’t want to say anything. Other than that it was pretty darn great.

Thanks so much for all your kind wishes and to our families and friends who celebrated with us. We are so grateful we don’t even know where to start.

Coming up, as they say on teevee: We’ll see some of the gorgeous flowers and party decor by designer Mindy Rice and Lisa Vorce of Oh How Charming… OH, and please see my darlin’ friend Nina Griscom’s posts about our shenanigans here and here. Her new blog is fab and great fun, like her… Also so much to cover this fall in decorating, design, entertaining, and art. I can’t wait, and I’m so glad to have you along for the ride.

Love, Bridey Boo Boo
