Cotswolds Diary, Day 3

Pinching myself to be here after nearly killing myself to get here driving on the left. Not really… but two loud and rather disturbing encounters with curbs and upclose inspections of hedgerows, some of which are now intrinsic parts of my rented automobile. A little Audi almost station wagon, good for toting painting gear. My friend Jonathan remarked it was a very nice car… what’s left of it. Bit of exaggeration, but still.

This morning, a beautiful walk and then to Hidcote, my favorite garden in the world. Okay my favorite garden that I am seeing today 😉

The ford at Middle Duntisbourne
I love this scene of the ford near where I walked this morning. I’m going to paint this. There are sheep way up on the hill beyond and cows on the pasture to right beyond the barn.
