Truffle hunting this morning. A nice walk and a few black truffles. The draught has not been good for truffles black or white, although black truffles like dry. White truffles like moisture. I did not know that growing up in Tarboro. #tuscany #tuscancountryside

The (relatively) spare and clean lines of the church of San Lorenzo are a respite from all the goopy baroque. This sachristy houses the tomb of Giovanni di Medici and the astronomical motif frescoes in the blue dome represents his birth date. Cool huh? #florence #sanlorenzo #ilmagnifico

Kampa Island is “the Venice of Prague” I guess because of the canal that forms it and the houses built right up to the water. But for some reason this gondolier was very grumpy and fussing at our putt-putt boat captain about I know not what.
