Well, I guess I get to enter twice for this wonderful rocker that I would love to have on my new screen porch overlooking Edenton Bay in Edenton, NC

That would look lovely on my 1915 porch in California
    Love it

  3. What an amazing piece of history and I will only add more memories to this warm feeling chair. This chair renders me speechless, something I seldom am……It absolutely takes my breath away and moves my heart……..Absolutely fabulous to pass on to my daughter and her children. A true family heirloom!

When we bought our run-down, slightly funky, 18th century house nearly 20 years ago, the only hint of the kitchen’s age was its oversized brick cooking fireplace and warming oven. When I saw your Lloyd-Flanders rocking chair, I immediately pictured myself and cat, Waldo, in it-in front of that fireplace, in the kitchen as it is today-warm and inviting, now with its original hand-hewn beams and pine floors exposed. Perfect!

We had a wicker bassinet in our family (for many generations) in which every family newborn slept. Sadly, it was recently lost in a fire. This simply beautiful chair would be a lovely new replacement – one in which we might rock babies for generations to come.
